Welcome to Labyrinthe de la Voix web site 2011.
In this our 9th year, our aim is to give our audience the chance to discover new artistic experiences by providing a wide range of concerts, exhibitions and events appealing to a range of tastes including jazz, gospel singing, gypsy music and songs from France and elsewhere.
Most of the performances will be held in the grounds of our chateau in Rochechouart which adds it's own atmospheric ambience to the events.
On sunday July 31 the concert will take place at the Megisserie, St Junien. The Megisserie is the old abbatoir that has been transformed into a wonderful theatre and cultural centre. The concert is free but seats must be reserved in advance.
Discounted concert tickets are available for groups and or for multiple concerts, these must be bought in advance. For example 2 people buying 2 tickets each would pay for 3 tickets.

The Tlapalerie
8 international artists in association present under the arches of the chateau, one of their creations inspired by a poem.

A walking treasure hunt for children and adults to uncover and enjoy the rich heritage of our city (in partnership with the tourist office).

40 young musicians, 27 accordionists, 4 keyboards, 6 horns and 3 percussionists playing a range of music from around the world.

SUROIT
Four musicians from the Magdalen Islands, Quebec, Canada. Violin, electric guitar, dulcimer plus other instruments bring their music to life.

COROU DE BERRA
A polyphonic choir composed of five mixed voices coming from the the Southern Alps. Their singing is uniquely beautiful and their repertoire ranges from traditional singing of the Southern Alps to contemporary.

HAPPY VOICES
A group of female gospel singers. This group have performed more than 500 concerts around the world. Their singing is a real source of joy and happiness.

LES P'TITS FILS DE JEANINE
A modern group of three friends from different musical backgrounds share their songs. They are currently on a 13 show tour of France.

URS KARPATZ
Gypsy singing group performing slow emotional songs (laki ghil), festive songs (maki ghil) and songs to dance to typical of the gypsies of Rajasthan and Andalusia.
